Synthesis and QAR

My group and I learnt how to use Synthesis.

First we read the text about Fun, Fantastic, Fabulous Fitness. The text was about how sports are helping children in our schools develop lifelong positive habits and everybody knows that being fit and healthy helps to prevent terrible diseases.

Next we made a copy of the synthesis Google Draw. Afterwards we made a copy of the synthesis Google Draw. There were three boxes, the three boxes are Prior Knowledge, New Information, and New Understanding.

To finish up we made a copy of the QAR Google Doc. Finally we made a copy of the QAR Google Doc. We needed to answer the question and put it in the right boxes. The boxes are: Right There, Think and Search, Author and You, and On my Own. Right There means the answer can be found in the text. Think and Search means the answer is in the book but you need to have a look. Author and You means the answer is not in the text, you need to use your background knowledge. On my own means that the answer is not in the text, you could come up with an answer.

I learned a lot about this activity because I learnt what synthesis is.
